OUR SERVICES

Grace Network provides the following services and programs to residents of Martinsville and Henry County Virginia:

  • Financial Assistance for housing and utilities for families in crisis
  • Client-choice food pantry for families in crisis
  • Expedites the Neighbor 2 Neighbor program for AEP customers that are in need
  • Informal financial mentoring
  • Referral program through the Martinsville Assistance Network for job searches, medical home services, senior citizens, GED programs and higher education programs.

Grace Network hours of operation are Monday - Friday 9-12:30. (Our last client of the day will be taken at 11:45). We follow all federal holidays. We also follow the Martinsville City Schools for inclement weather. If schools are on a 2-hour delay, Grace Network will open at 10am. If you have any questions, you may call 638-8500 and we can explain our process to assist you with an interview for services.

Clients are asked to bring the following documentation to their appointment:

  1. Picture ID
  2. Social Security Card for all household members
  3. Proof of income for all household members (last and current months); including paycheck stubs, award letters from Social Security, SSI, or child support, checking/savings account information, documentation of SNAP benefits, TANF, etc.
  4. Monthly expenses/bills; including mortgage or rent, insurance, utilities, cable, child support, loans, car payment, credit card statements, plus any pay or quit notice, overdue bill or termination notice as proof of the crisis.
  5. Rent/mortgage information; including landlord's contact information, lease agreement, referral from Section 8 or housing authority, and rent or mortgage payment receipts.
